food insecurity

Adequate nutrition is a human right, but across the five boroughs, more than one out of ten New Yorkers are food insecure. To eliminate food insecurity, we must ensure New Yorkers have real opportunities, livable wages, affordable housing, and quality education.

  • Work with food pantries and meal delivery services to provide for district residents in need.

  • Expand and fund community gardens to provide fresh food for our neighbors in need.

  • Fight for a $20 minimum wage for NYC.

  • Protect and expand free meals at public schools.
